Where is Highland Beach Florida?

Highland Beach unlike Boca and Delray exists exclusively on the barrier island. There is no part of Highland Beach on the mainland. Boca Raton is around 32 square miles in size. Delray Beach is around 17 square miles in size. Highland beach is little more than 1 square mile in total size. It is located on A1A directly between Boca Raton "beach" and Delray Beach. This tiny beach town perched between two of South Florida's most popular vacation destinations is an exclusive community comprised of both full time residents and gorgeous vacation homes.

Highland Beach primarily features three types of homes. There are small pockets of large single family homes on and just off the intracoastal. There are very large beach homes worthy of write ups in architectural publications. There are luxury condo buildings that span from modest to elite. There is no bad place to live in Highland Beach.

Highland Beach does not have a downtown. Residents cross over to the mainland for their shopping. Spanish River Boulevard is the main thoroughfare out of town. Publix or Walgreens can be reached in less than 10 minutes from just about anywhere in town. Atlantic Ave in downtown Delray Beach can be reached in less than 15 minutes from anywhere in town. Palmetto Park Road can also be reached very quickly from just about anywhere in town.
